The Celestial Beerworks taproom and brewery provides an otherworldly experience for visitors in more ways than one. Since its opening in 2018, the Celestial team has skillfully combined their favorite things: art, science, and delicious, fresh beer…and space. Their inspiration is manifested throughout each aspect of the company, from their wide variety of beers and meticulous obsession with hops to their masterpiece can-art and onsite décor. Bartenders are replaced by Startenders and flights of beers are ordered by their more Celestial name, Missions. Co-owners Molly and Matt Reynolds bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, including Matt’s history as a brewmaster for Malai Kitchen and his time making homebrews for his friends and family.
As Matt and Molly took ownership of Celestial’s first building, located near Love Field in Dallas, Texas, they knew that they needed an energy team to advise them on metering issues, load profiling for the addition of new equipment, and a strategic electricity procurement plan to keep costs low. They selected the team at 5 and soon found that they were able to focus their time on matters like equipment purchasing and installation, staffing, and brewing. “When it comes to energy decisions, my team and I rest easy knowing that 5 has our best interest in mind and that they are always proactive about opportunities and risks in the market,” remarked Matt. “As we now look to expand our operations, we continue to rely on 5 for advice related to new construction, procurement, and demand-side services. We also appreciate that 5 is a consistent client of ours, purchasing cases of Celestial’s best beers for their company events.”
