Tanner Leahey

Tanner Leahey is a rising star in the deregulated energy industry with an incredible passion for helping clients exceed their goals related to sustainability and energy cost control. Tanner got his start in the energy industry in June of 2020 with Direct Energy before joining 5 as an Analyst in the summer of 2022.

In his current role, Tanner guides clients and energy advisors to make informed decisions on energy procurement, demand-side management, sustainability, and resiliency. As part of 5’s Pit Crew, Tanner also serves as a bridge between suppliers and energy advisors, providing actionable analytics and technical sales support.

Tanner received his bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. During his time in college, Tanner also served as the President of the American Solar Energy Society at Penn State.
